A Phone Call to the Swedish Aunt

We went to the central post office with our dad, to congratulate my grandma’s sister, who was living in Sweden, on her birthday. We had booked a time in advance. We waited for our turn, and ran when the clerk announced the start of our five allowed minutes, to find our spot from a maze of phone booths. Our aunt was startled to hear us, thinking we had eloped to the West.
