Collecting Signatures

When Estonia regained independence, I wanted to participate in that process. Unfortunately, I did not have a companion who shared my interest. There still was one thing I could do: collect signatures to support the Language Law. I picked Estonian-sounding names from the lists in every hallway, and went knocking on their doors. Some people gave their signature gladly, but some were afraid.
